Easter Simnel Cake
A traditional Sussex Simnel Cake, baked for Easter by Farmhouse Cookery in Bosham using their cherished family recipe.
This generous 6-inch round cake is a rich, cider-soaked fruit cake filled with vine fruits and warm spices. At its heart sits a hidden layer of sweet marzipan, baked into the centre of the cake for that classic Simnel flavour and texture.
The cake is finished in traditional style with 11 toasted marzipan balls and wrapped with a gold band for a beautifully festive presentation.
