Jacobs Ladder, lead by Jayne and her team, farm in a way that respects the ancient forest environment in which their cows and sheep graze. The Sussex cattle and Romney sheep are raised traditionally with very minimal intervention on the permanent pastures perfectly suited for slow maturity.

The land on which the farm finds itself has been chosen for its suitability to livestock production. The sheep will live permanently on pasture, and the cattle are fed on grass in the Summer, and silage during the Winter months which has been cultivated off the farm.Jacob’s Ladder manage their pasture carefully, ensuring there is a rich diversity of grasses, using only the animals manure to promote growth.
