TABLEHURST FARM

At Tablehurst they see their biodynamic farm and garden as a single organism. All the different activities are interconnected, and all are dependent on a symbiotic relationship with the natural environment. They grow food for consumption now, whilst farming for the long term, caring for wildlife, building soil fertility, and always striving for more sustainable ways to feed the community. The garden comprises 6ha of vegetables and fruit, including some 1500 square metres of protected cropping.

The garden in its current form has been running since 2010, gradually growing in scale to meet the needs of our committed customers. They now grow over 90 varieties of fruit and vegetables in the course of the season, offering the freshest possible biodynamic produce to our local community. At Tablehurst they use minimum tillage techniques to preserve the soil structure; our own compost  and manure are used to build soil fertility; and biodynamic preparations promote healthy growth in our crops.
